ABOUT DZI BEADS
In Tibetan Buddhism, Dzi beads are regarded as the embodiment of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas or objects blessed with their power, and they possess a sacred religious significance. People believe that they can resist evil forces and negative energies, protect the wearer from harm, bring peace and well-being, and serve as a spiritual sustenance and a symbol of faith.
ABOUT BUDDHIST PRAYER BEADS
The earliest record of Buddhist prayer beads can be traced back to the Buddhist scripture The Sutra of the Chinese Olive Seeds. In this scripture, it is recorded that the Buddha instructed King Prasenajit to make prayer beads from Chinese olive seeds, which were used to recite the name of the Buddha and eliminate the karmic obstacles of afflictions and retribution.
